Gianna Maddalena Alberti

Magnifica Gianna Maddalena Alberti has been a citizen of An Tir since A.S. LIII (2018) when she moved from the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann. Her mottos are Ancora Imparo (I am still learning) and Sub Sole Floreo (Under the sun I flourish). Her research foci are all related to the Italian peninsula from antiquity to 1600 and include various aspects of sociocultural anthropology such as cosmetics, hygiene, health, apothecaries, games, philosophy, fashion, music, women’s lives, gender relations, customs, onomastics, and material culture. She portrays historical women on the Italian peninsula in the Etruscan, 14th-century, 15th-century, and 16th-century time periods.

Sibylla de Waryn

The Honorable Lady Sibylla de Waryn is a 14th Century English noblewoman who resides in the Barony of Three Mountains. She joined the SCA and became a citizen of An Tir in A.S. XLVIII (2014). Her alternate personas are 15th century Italian and 4th century Roman. She has a great love of pageantry and has served on nine royal retinues. Her interests include clothing, jewelry, and scribal arts, with her current research focused on hairnets.

Alasdair Mac Roibeirt
Baron, Squire, Laurel
Alasdair Mac Roibeirt is a late 14th century Scots man abroad on the continent, traveling from conflict to conflict. When not inflicting harm on others he enjoys inflicting harm on wood in an attempt to create something out of it. His current driving force is to see more historically correct seating in use in An Tir and reduce the number of modern camp chairs at events.

Disa I Birkilundi
Baroness, Laurel
Baroness Disa i Birkilundi is a 10th century Norsewoman from Birka, Sweden. She is the current Baroness of Glymm Mere along with Baron Alasdair Mac Roibeirt. She is the the proud mother of Lady Thora Disadottir and Una Disadottir. Her passions include posament, antler work, wire weaving, and teaching. During the pandemic she hosted an online class series of nearly fifty classes on a wide variety of topics that can be found on her YouTube channel.

Helena Zancani has been a citizen of An Tir since A.S. XXXIII (33/1998). Her interests tend to be wide spread but frequently return to music, embroidery, sewing, calligraphy, and illumination. Helena portrays a 16th century Italian woman.

Angharat verch Reynulf

Angharat verch Reynulf is a Welsh Border Marcher living in between Hay-on-Wye and Builth Castle in the 1340’s. She is the Chatelaine for her brother’s holdings, as well as caring for her own holdings of a hyfod and manor. She is a competent seamstress, embroiderer, cook and can read and write. Her daughter, Rhoslyn merch Angharat loves to camp and participate with her as well, with a very large dose of volunteer spirit – often helping make sure fighters are hydrated, running errands for those in need, walking dogs, sweeping floors and anything else that needs doing.

Dunstan M’Lolane

Baron Dunstan M’Lolane has been a citizen of An Tir since A.S. XXXIX. His motto is “Aut inveniam viam aut faciam” (I shall find my way or make one). His research interests focus on the making of vernacular furniture –the items used in everyday work and life– of Western Europe and their social meanings. He also enjoys reading, studying, and writing poetry of every period and culture he encounters. Dunstan portays a 13th century low-land Scottish baron who had served with the French in the Albigensian Crusade. Dunstan is Squire to Sir Richard Fergus Fitzalan, Protege to Mistress Brighid Ross, and Apprentice to Countess Elisabeth de Rossignol.
